Av Search finds a page in the PDFs you load. The same app runs on iPhone, iPad, and Android phones and tablets. Search works offline.

You think you know the answer, and you are not sure which manual it is in. It could be any one of 10. Av Search looks across the set.

It searches many PDFs at once. On a phone or an iPad, that can be more than 800 separate PDFs. Most of the processing and indexing is done when the PDFs are loaded. After that, the search is near instant. How many PDFs depends on how new the device is, and how powerful it is. An older device can search up to 100 PDFs without trouble.

You keep the documents in a profile on the device, with the search index and your bookmarks. TecAv does not receive them.

There are four search modes. ALL finds a page where every word appears as a whole word. PART finds a page where every word appears, including where a word is the start of a longer word. ANY finds a page where any one of the words appears as a whole word. EXACT finds the words together, in that order, ignoring capitals. Double-tap a result to open its original page.

Bookmark a page, and keep bookmarks in folders. You can move a bookmark or remove it.

Export and import use an encrypted .avsp file (AES-256-GCM) and a password you choose, at least 4 characters. Only Av Search can open that file, and only with the password. If you save it to Files, Mail, or AirDrop, it leaves the app under your control. TecAv does not receive it unless you email it.

Word search is the way in. If the device is relatively new, you can add Qwen3 on the device, at no extra cost. Download it from App Health, and only after you confirm. The file comes from huggingface.co. Qwen3 helps find what ordinary word matching misses. It stays on the device. Your manuals are not sent. Search does not need an account or the internet.

The screen can follow the language of the phone, or you can pick one of 14 languages, the same set as Time and Fuel. The documents stay as they were written.

Av Search is not an approved electronic flight bag, and it is not a substitute for the official manual. You are responsible for the documents you load.

Age and content

Apple age rating: 4+. No violence, sexual content, profanity, horror, gambling, alcohol, tobacco, or drugs in the app itself. Not a Made for Kids app. The app is for adults.
Unrestricted web: no. There is no built-in browser. The optional model download is a file fetch, not a web view.
Google content rating: Everyone. No violence, sexuality, or profanity in the app. No social network. No public sharing of what the user loads. A user can export an encrypted file themselves.
Designed for Families / teacher-approved: no. The app is for adults, and it is not directed at children under 13.
User content: PDFs the user loads, stored on the device or in an encrypted file. Not posted to a TecAv service.

Apple App Privacy

Data Not Collected by TecAv. Select “Data Not Collected” on the nutrition labels.

Do not declare Contact Info, Health & Fitness, Financial Info, Location, Sensitive Info, Contacts, User Content, Browsing History, Search History, Identifiers, Purchases, Usage Data, or Diagnostics as data TecAv collects.

PDFs, the search index, bookmarks, profile names, and the words typed in search stay on the device. Data that stays on the device is not declared as collected.

Still say this in the privacy policy, which you already point the store at: if the user confirms a download on App Health, the app fetches a model file from huggingface.co over HTTPS. That request does not include the manuals, the search text, the bookmarks, or the profile. The host can see the connection’s IP address, as with any download. TecAv does not receive the manuals or the file. The download is optional, the user starts it, and it is not used for tracking or advertising.

Google Data safety

Does the app collect or share any of the required user data types? No. TecAv does not collect user data. PDFs, the search index, bookmarks, profiles, and search text are not transmitted.
Data types: do not declare Files and docs, App activity, Personal info, Messages, Photos, Audio, Location, or Device or other IDs as collected. The documents are stored only on the device, so they are not collected.
Optional download: App Health can fetch a model file from huggingface.co after the user confirms. That request does not upload manuals or search text. If a reviewer asks about the network call, it is a download the user starts, over HTTPS, for app functionality. It is not sold, not used for advertising, and not used for tracking. The user can skip it. Search works without it.
Encrypted in transit: yes. The model download uses HTTPS. An exported .avsp file is AES-256-GCM. There is no TecAv account traffic.
Users can ask for data to be deleted: there is no account. Deleting the app deletes the on-device data. Removing a profile, a document, a bookmark, or the model does the same for that item. Support email can delete a file someone sent you.
Play Console account-deletion URL: not required. The app has no accounts.
Ads: no.

Encryption (Apple export compliance)

The app encrypts profile files with AES-256-GCM. An optional model download uses HTTPS. On the question “does your app use encryption?”, the answer is yes. It is the ordinary kind used to protect a file the user created, and to fetch a file over HTTPS. This is the same export-compliance treatment as the other TecAv apps. Confirm the exemption in App Store Connect when you submit. This page is not a legal classification, and it is not an ERN.

Screenshots for the stores

The pictures on the overview are the three phone screens, shown smaller on this website. Do not upload those files to App Store Connect. Capture them again at the size each store asks for.

Apple iPhone: at least one screenshot at 1320 × 2868, 1290 × 2796, or 1260 × 2736 (portrait). App Store Connect scales that set to smaller iPhones. Up to 10. PNG or JPEG, no transparency.
Apple iPad: required because the app runs on iPad. At least one screenshot at 2064 × 2752 or 2048 × 2732 (portrait), or the same sizes turned sideways. Show the tablet layout, not a stretched phone.
Google Play phone: at least two screenshots, and four if you want the larger recommendation slots. 1080 × 1920 (9:16). Each side between 320 and 3840. JPEG or 24-bit PNG, no transparency.
Google Play tablets: the app supports large screens, so add 7-inch and 10-inch screenshots at 16:9 or 9:16, four if you can. A 1024 × 500 feature graphic is required and is not a screenshot.

Use the profile sheet, the search screen, and bookmarks. The same three screens are on the overview.

Review notes you can paste

No account. No sign-in. Search works offline after the reviewer imports a PDF of their own from the library (Import PDFs). There is no demo document. Modes are ALL, PART, ANY, and EXACT, on the button beside the search field. Double-tap a result to open the page. Export profile asks for a password of at least 4 characters and writes an encrypted .avsp file. The optional model on App Health is not required to review search. It downloads only after the reviewer confirms, from huggingface.co, and it does not upload the PDF.
